Frequently asked questions

We’ve been around for over 60 years, we support 4,000+ people across Australia, and we put you at the centre of everything. No cookie-cutter solutions, just real support, built around your life. Plus, no wait lists and a team that’s ready to get started when you are.

It’s continuous support in your home, both day and night. You might need a support worker available around the clock, overnight check-ins, or help with complex care needs. We design it around what works for you. And you don’t need to move into shared accommodation unless that’s what you want.

It’s NDIS-funded support that helps you take part in social, recreational and community activities with a dedicated support worker by your side. You choose what you do — your support worker helps you feel confident doing it.

Club Aruma is Aruma’s community participation day program. It’s where people come to connect with others, try new activities and get out and about with support. Think cooking classes, art workshops, weekend adventures, group outings, gaming, sports and more.

Everything is led by participants. You choose what you want to do, and our team helps make it happen. Whether it’s joining a regular group activity at the hub, heading out into the community one-on-one, or planning a bigger adventure like a day trip or event, it’s all about doing the things you actually enjoy.

Club Aruma runs activities throughout the week and is open to NDIS participants. No wait lists, just get in touch and we’ll chat about what works for you.

Yes. Aruma is a registered not-for-profit NDIS provider and has been for over 60 years. That means everything we earn goes straight back into the people we support, our staff and our services.

We’re registered with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, which means we meet strict standards around safety, quality and the rights of the people we support. It also means your NDIS funding can be used with us across all our services.

Being not-for-profit is more than a label for us. It shapes how we operate, how we hire, and how we make decisions. We’re not driven by shareholder returns. We’re driven by outcomes for the people who walk through our doors.

We’d love to hear from you and have you join our local team. At Aruma, you’ll be part of an amazing team that values your skills and experience. We offer opportunities to work close to home, professional development, competitive pay and flexible hours to suit your lifestyle.
