Applicant considerations
This is a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) property providing full accessibility.
The current vacancies are best suited for a male aged 21-60 years who is semi-independent and enjoys shared living.
The 3 current residents are males, aged 18-55 years, who all use wheelchairs for mobility. They enjoy music, sports, cars, bowling, movies, BBQs, community outings, video games, fishing, cooking and basketball.
Staff have a variety of skills and experience, including PEG feeding, manual handling, positive behaviour support, active support, mealtime management, nutrition and swallowing.
Current staff ratio is 2:5, or 3:5 at peak times, with active overnight support.
Funding
To apply for this vacancy you must have funding for accommodation or Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) in your NDIS plan. You will be required to pay rent and utilities, and you or your important person must sign an agreement.
