Applicant Considerations
We are currently accepting expressions of interest for this new Supported Independent Living (SIL) opportunity. Applications are welcome from males and females aged 18 to 70 years who have approved NDIS funding that includes SIL support. Friends who both have NDIS funding are also encouraged to apply together and may have the opportunity to create a compatible shared living arrangement.
This home is ideal for individuals who enjoy socialising, engaging in community activities, and being part of a shared household. As this is a new living arrangement with no current residents, there is a unique opportunity for incoming individuals to help shape the household environment, interests, and routines together.
Current staff ratio is 1:3. with inactive sleepover support. Additional support is available as needed, depending on your NDIS funding. Staff have a wide range of skills and experience, including positive behaviour support, manual handling training, personal care, person centred active support, following allied health professionals plans, intellectual and neurological disabilities, mental health, mealtime and medication management.
Funding
To apply for this vacancy you will be asked to have funding for accommodation in your NDIS plan, and to pay rent and utilities. We will also ask you or your important person to sign an agreement.
