Applicant considerations

This opportunity may be best suited for a male aged 20 to 59 years, looking to become part of a supportive and social household. This vacancy may be ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys being part of a shared home and building positive relationships with housemates and support workers
  • Likes community outings, dining out, arts and crafts, music and movies
  • Wants to build their independence in a supportive and structured environment
  • Is happy with the reassurance of around-the-clock support while maintaining as much independence as possible.

The ideal new housemate would be comfortable living in a shared home with other men, respect the routines, personal space and preferences of others, and appreciate that support staff are present in the home 24/7.

The home is currently shared by three men aged between 30 and 71 years, who enjoy spending time together and taking part in a range of activities including dining out, arts and crafts, music, movies and community outings.

The household has a warm, friendly atmosphere and is a supportive place to develop skills, pursue interests and be part of the community.

To support the specific needs of people living in the home, access to the kitchen is managed by support staff.

The home is supported by experienced and dedicated staff with a 2:4 staffing arrangement, including inactive overnight sleepover support. This means assistance is available whenever needed, with additional supports also available depending on your NDIS funding.

Staff bring a broad range of skills and experience, including:

  • Positive behaviour support
