Suitable for females looking to explore their independence, with the comfort and security of 24/7 support. This is a home for customers who have Prader – Willi Syndrome. Due to the nature of support needs within this home, there is approved restricted access to the kitchen.
The current residents are 2 females’ aged 30-49 years. They enjoy socialising, going out for meals together, arts and craft, music, movies, and accessing the community.
Support in the home is based on a 3 person arrangement and includes inactive overnight sleepover support. Additional support is available as needed, depending on your NDIS funding. Staff have a wide range of skills and experience, including positive behaviour support, manual handling training, personal care, person centred active support, following allied health professionals plans, intellectual and neurological disabilities, mental health, mealtime and medication management.
To apply for this home you must have funding for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) in your NDIS plan. You will be required to pay rent and utilities, and you or your important person must sign an agreement.
