Your 12-month journey
Here’s a little taste of the support you’ll receive.
First 3 months
- Attend Aruma’s induction
- Get to know your team, your new graduate colleagues, your manager and the organisation
- Learn about your role
- Meet the people who will support you like your manager,
buddy, practice coach - Begin to meet children and adults in shadow and supported visits
- Attend small group sessions with new graduates
- Start delivering services for children, young people, families and adults
- Develop your confidence in scheduling, making notes and managing a caseload
Months 4-9
- Apply your learnings
- Extend your knowledge and skills
- Share your wins
- Meet a broader variety of customers
- Develop your skills in report writing
- Learn from your mentor, practice coach, team and peers
- Meet with your manager, buddy, practice coach
- Attend workshops
Months 9-12
- Apply skills and knowledge in regular visits
- Focus on identified learning areas
- Develop your scope of practice
- Support customers with a range of goals
- Meet with your manager, buddy, practice coach
- Attend workshops
