Over the years, we’ve seen changes in the fundraising landscape, finances are tight for many Australians with an increased cost of living and as a result, charities like Aruma are not receiving the financial support we once were.

Turning a house into a home
It’s the small, meaningful touches that turn a house into a home. When Pamela shared how much she missed having a garden, her Aruma support team – with support from our fundraising efforts – worked alongside her to build one at her shared living home.
Today, the garden brings Pamela joy and has become a meaningful part of her daily routine. Moments like these are made possible through the generosity and support of our community.
Helping us give back to the community
Fundraising also helps us step up for communities in times of crisis. When floods affected NSW and Queensland, Aruma teams sprang into action, serving hot meals at evacuation centres, helping clear out damaged homes, and providing essential supplies to families who had lost everything.
Following this year’s floods in NSW, Aruma participants and staff in Taree held a free sausage sizzle for flood affected locals. Hundreds of sausages and cupcakes later, the event reminded everyone that no one has to face challenges alone.
A collective effort that makes a lasting difference
