Frequently asked questions
Finding the right home can take anywhere from six weeks to 12 months and beyond. Ideally, we don’t want to keep anyone waiting. Most participants will have their home within a few months when possible.
Housemate Matching takes time because we want to get it right for participants, first go. We’ll examine participant profiles thoroughly to find a place that meets their needs. Moving into a new home is a stressful experience at the best of times, and we want to make this transition as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
This is one of the most important – and different – things about Housemate Matching. If there’s a situation where we can’t find a good match with an existing home, we can look to create a new one! Obviously, this takes more time, but the results are worth it.
