Speech pathologists are trained allied health professionals who work with people with disability to help improve communication skills and how they interact with others. Speech Pathology may also help if you have problems swallowing food or drinking safely.
How can Speech Pathology help me?
Speech Pathology may help you improve how you communicate with those around you. This might include:

Speech Pathology can also help you with mealtimes. This might include:
Finding the best food and textures for you to eat

PFirst up, your speech pathologist will want to get to know you. What your goals are and what you want to achieve. From there they will work together with you to develop a plan that is just right for you, and provide support to learn and practise new skills.
Your family and carers are very much part of this journey, so they are welcome to be involved.
We can meet you at home, at work, in the community or online via telehealth. We deliver Speech Pathology where it works best for you.
Yes. At Aruma, we offer support for the whole of life. We have Speech Pathology services for early childhood (0-9), children and young people (9-18) and adults (18+).
The NDIS provides funding for Therapy and Clinical Supports. The most common NDIS category of support for Speech Pathology is Improved Daily Living.
We bill in line with the NDIS Price Guide, which is updated every year.
