Physiotherapy that helps you live your life, your way

Moving better starts here. Built around your goals.

When you think of Physiotherapy, you might picture sports injuries and taped ankles. But physio is about so much more.

  • It’s about carrying the groceries without pain.
  • Getting up and down the stairs with confidence.
  • Managing fatigue at work or school.
  • Going to the local pool or beach,
  • or playing with your kids.

At Aruma, our physiotherapists in Geelong help people with disability of all ages to move better and feel stronger.

We work with you to understand what matters most in your life. Whether you want to walk more confidently, reduce pain, build strength or simply feel more comfortable in your body, we’re here to help make it happen.

Every plan is co-designed with you, so your Physiotherapy support fits your life and your goals.

Your questions answered

Physiotherapy helps people improve their physical health, movement and everyday functioning. For people with disability, it can be a key part of building independence and reaching your goals.

Physiotherapy focuses on helping you take part in activities that are important to you, including:

  • Build strength and mobility: Get stronger, move easier. Our physiotherapists work with you to build the strength and flexibility you need to do more of what you love.
  • Feel confident on your feet: Better balance means more confidence. We’ll help you move safely and steadily, whether you’re out and about or at home.
  • Do more of what matters: Getting dressed, cooking a meal, catching the bus. Physiotherapy helps you build the skills and strength to live more independently, your way.

Our goal is to help you thrive in the activities that are meaningful to you.

Every person is unique, and so are the supports we provide. Our Geelong Physiotherapy team can support you with:

  • Exercise programs for cardiovascular and respiratory health, recovery, medical management, strength and general fitness
  • Pain management for muscles and joints
  • General strength and movement support
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Falls prevention and balance training
  • Manual handling training and reviews
  • Ergonomic assessments (at home or work)
  • Personalised exercise programs
  • Functional capacity assessments

We focus on your goals, not just your diagnosis.

Yes. At Aruma, we offer support for the whole of life. We have Physiotherapy services for early childhood, teenagers and adults.

We start by getting to know you and what matters most in your life. Our physiotherapists complete an assessment to understand your current movement, strength and any challenges you face. From there, we co-design a plan built around your goals.

We can meet you at home, at school, at work or in the community. You can also come to our Geelong clinic, or access sessions online via telehealth. We deliver physio where it works best for you.

The NDIS provides funding for Therapy Supports. The most common NDIS category of support for Physiotherapy is Improved Daily Living.

We bill in line with the NDIS Price Guide, which is updated every year.

Not sure if you have funding for physio? We can help you understand your plan and explore your options.
