Documenting needs, supporting next steps
We prepare comprehensive behaviour assessment reports that document a participant’s behaviours of concern, their impact on daily functioning, and the underlying factors contributing to those behaviours. The report provides clear clinical evidence and professional recommendations to inform appropriate supports.
Where a participant is currently accessing Improved Daily Living (IDL) funding, we can also provide a tailored Behaviour Assessment Report (BAR) specifically designed to support advocacy for Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) funding. The BAR outlines the clinical rationale for PBS, identifies unmet support needs, and demonstrates to the NDIA why specialist behaviour support is reasonable and necessary to support safety, capacity and quality of life.
Our approach is guided by the Aruma Way. That means support that puts you at the centre, keeps everyone safe, is delivered effectively and works in partnership with you and your support network.

Your questions answered
A behaviour assessment report is a detailed document that records a participant’s behaviours of concern, how those behaviours affect daily life, and the underlying factors that may be contributing to them. It includes clinical evidence and professional recommendations that can be used to inform the right supports for the person.
Where a participant is currently accessing Improved Daily Living (IDL) funding, we can prepare a tailored Behaviour Assessment Report designed to support advocacy for Positive Behaviour Support funding. The BAR outlines the clinical rationale for PBS, identifies unmet support needs, and provides evidence to the NDIA that specialist behaviour support is reasonable and necessary.
A behaviour assessment report can be useful for anyone who needs a clear, documented picture of their behaviours of concern and the factors behind them. This may include people who are looking to access PBS funding for the first time, participants whose needs have changed and require updated evidence for their NDIS plan, or families and support coordinators who need clinical documentation to support a plan review or funding request.
