Following the success of Aruma’s first Stronger Together event in Toowoomba, the series continued in Mackay and on the Gold Coast in September, bringing local disability communities together to connect, share knowledge and strengthen relationships across the NDIS sector.
Across the two free networking events, NDIS participants, families, supporters and providers came together in relaxed, face-to-face settings to hear from local experts, ask questions and learn more about the people and services available in their communities.
The Mackay event featured Aruma, Guardian Living, Hireup, Seed Disability and My Plan Support. On the Gold Coast, Aruma was joined by All Plan Management, Healthy Emporium, Vera Living, LME Care, Kismet, Down Syndrome & Intellectual Disability Queensland and Mudgeeraba State Special School.
Together, the organisations shared practical information and helped attendees make valuable local connections.
“Stronger Together is about exactly that, people coming together. In Mackay and on the Gold Coast we saw families, participants and providers connect in person and walk away with real answers. We can’t wait to bring that to Newcastle, Canberra and Melbourne,” said Gladwin George, Regional Business Development Partner, South East & Northern Queensland.
The Stronger Together series now heads to Newcastle, Canberra and Melbourne.
