In partnership with Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) provider Guardian Living, Aruma invited Mildura locals to tour three new SDA homes in May.
The homes on Riverside Avenue, all three bedroom and four-bathroom homes, have been completed this year and were on show for prospective residents looking for a place to call home.
Aruma participant, Roger, recently moved into another Guardian Living SDA home in Mildura and the feedback has been nothing but positive.
Roger’s House Supervisor, Scott McMullan, has known Roger for more than 20 of his 30-year career and says those around him have noticed an incredible change since his move in October last year.
“We had been looking for the right house for Roger and when the Guardian Living SDA property at Mayne became available, we knew this was the one. The changes have been incredible to see and everyone around him has noticed such an uplift in his mood.”
“This house has given him back his independence, where he once spent a lot of time in his room, he now has his own bathroom, large room and really is back to living his best life in comfort and privacy,” he said.
