The decorations went up in the afternoon. Blue streamers, blue balloons, blue everything. Participants and staff got the space sorted together, then settled in for the match.
It helped that the room was unanimous. Every single person at the Charlestown hub was backing the Blues, which made the result let’s just say a fairly great outcome for everyone involved.
There was footy bingo. There was a prize draw. Hub participant Roni took out first place and walked away with a Blues blanket. Jess picked up second and a $25 NRL Shop voucher.
“It was a great game and I love screaming for the Blues,” Jess said. “I loved playing footy bingo and won a $25 gift card for the NRL shop.”
Jason was on the same page. “I love the footy. It was really fun cheering for NSW with my friends.”
That is Club Aruma. Choosing what you do, choosing who you do it with, and having somewhere to be loud about it.
