We know just how important it is that people with disability have a home that meets their needs. In a global housing crisis, this is tougher than ever.
Aruma has partnered with Kingston Building, a highly awarded Newcastle-owned industrial, commercial and residential construction company, to build five new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) villas in Mayfield, NSW.
The purpose built one-bedroom homes are designed to meet NDIS High Physical Support (HPS) needs and are located just a 15-minute drive from the centre of Newcastle.
“Our open day for these homes was a great success. We have residents ready to move into four out of the five homes and while I was at the open day, I had a call from someone transitioning out of hospital. It was perfect timing, and I think they’ll be perfect for this house,” said Bobby Newton, Aruma Regional Business Development Partner.
NBN News even came to check out the homes. You can see their coverage here.
Each villa includes one bedroom plus a private bathroom, living space and modern kitchen. There is air-conditioning and heating for year-round comfort as well as access to a private courtyard and additional communal garden. The homes include all the provisions for home automation and assistive technology requirements. We’re proud to say they’re also pet friendly.

Located just minutes from beautiful Lake Macquarie, these brand-new SDA Villas are just as impressive as the recently completed ones in Mayfield, featuring all the same incredible design and accessibility features. One villa is already secured by a lucky participant, and we’re actively working with several others. With completion expected in the coming months, we’re now accepting Expressions of Interest (EOIs). Don’t miss out!
“It really is going to be another beautiful property. We invite people to get in touch with us early to streamline the process as much as possible,” said Bobby.
