Yes! Work experience and work site tours are a valuable part of our Work Ready Program.
By getting involved in work experience and tours of various worksites, you get a ‘sneak peek’ at different work environments to see what you like and what is suitable for you.
The practical skills you will learn in the work environment can be taken into any new job!
We know people learn in different ways, so we want you to have the choice and control.
Our supports are delivered in an adult learning environment and include hands on experience in the workplace. You’ll always be able to learn at your own pace, with as much or as little support as you need from our knowledgeable mentors and trainers.
Yes! You will have the chance to work towards a formal qualification if it relates to a goal in your NDIS plan.
There are options to engage informal training that matches your employment pathway plan and goals.

In New South Wales, Aruma currently provides the Work Ready Program (formerly School Leaver Employment Supports – SLES) in Alstonville, Forbes, Newcastle, Port Macquarie and Taree.
In Queensland, the program is currently available in Burleigh Heads.
Services will be starting in Tamworth and Armidale soon, along with new locations in Qld and Vic.

The Work Ready Program (formerly School Leaver Employment Supports – SLES) is funded under Finding and Keeping a Job, Employment Assistance in your NDIS plan. You can also access funding under Core or Capacity Building.
Please note: We bill in line with the NDIS Price Guide, which generally increases annually.
