The anticipated rollout of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is set to begin in a number of locations around Australia from today, meaning greater control and choice for people with a disability.
With over 50 years’ experience supporting people with a disability in local communities locally, we’re excited to be at the forefront of the exciting changes the NDIS will bring to people with disability.
For people with a disability, the rollout of the NDIS means means gaining greater choice and control over the the disability services they receive through the NDIS assessment and planning process.
Chief Executive Officer, Andrew Richardson, said the organisation was excited to commence the rollout of the NDIS in a number of locations across NSW, Qld and the ACT.
“We’re ready for change and we’re ready to embrace the new world of disability services for our new and existing customers,” Mr Richardson said.
“We have extensive experience with the NDIS, having already supported over 500 people to transition successfully to the NDIS in various locations.
“With the NDIS, you not only get to choose what type of supports you receive, you also decide when, where and how you receive them – and which disability service providers you’ll work with. You even have control over how your funds are managed.”
“We’re excited about the improved outcomes the NDIS is bringing and as an approved NDIS service provider we’re here to help make these positive changes happen,” Mr Richardson said.
The NSW Government has released the video below on the NDIS rollout, which was filmed at House with No Steps (now Aruma).
