At Aruma, supported employment is more than just a job. It’s an opportunity to develop independence, make friends, and learn new skills while gaining experience, training, and support.

With the addition of our newFacility Services business in Canberra, Aruma businesses are now in NSW, QLD, and the ACT.

We’re looking for fun and happy individuals who have a can-do attitude! You don’t need prior experience or training to get a taste of working with us (and we promise it’s sweet!)

You may have heard about Aussie Biscuits and Summerland Farm however we also have:

  • Facility Services – Property maintenance, commercial cleaning, graffiti removal, community housing maintenance.
  • Commercial Laundry
  • Medical Packs and Forensic supplies
  • Packaging
  • Recycling
  • Manufacturing

We are in Northern NSW, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo/Forbes, Newcastle, Sydney, Central Coast, Illawarra, Gold Coast. To find out more about our specific services and locations, visit our website.

It’s not all work and no play at our businesses. The teams love to have fun celebrating special events like birthdays, work-anniversary’s and are always down for a cheeky Friday barbecue. We also encourage supported employees to try different jobs to see what they like best.

Now for the fine print (that is actually super easy). To become a supported employee you must:

  • Receive or be eligible for the Disability Support Pension
  • Be accepted into the NDIS
  • Have an NDIS plan with funding under ‘Core Supports’ or be willing to apply for funding
