This year we have a brand new Annual Review website! This is an interactive highlights version of our Annual Review.

2014/15 was a good year for House with No Steps (now Aruma). Of course we experienced highs and lows but there were so many exciting highlights including:

  • High levels of customer satisfaction
  • Establishing exciting services and businesses in over 20 new locations
  • Maintaining our CQL accreditation for person centred excellence
  • Providing support to 393 NDIS participants in Hunter NSW and the ACT
  • Increasing awareness of self-advocacy and human rights amongst our service users, supported by the Board’s Human Rights Committee and our network of Peer Mentors
  • Redesigning our policies and practices to identify and eliminate instances of mistreatment, exploitation, abuse, or neglect (MEAN)
  • Further improvements in safety performance and the wellbeing of employees
  • 11.5% overall business growth
  • A solid platform for further investments in growth and renewal in 2015/16.

This 2015 Annual Review is a snapshot of our 2014/15 performance. It celebrates our successes and shares personal stories of our impact in people’s lives. We hope you enjoy reading it.

We’re looking forward to what 2015/16 will bring and are confident that our proven ability to work constructively and positively with governments, other organisations, customers, and supporters – coupled with the genuine and deep desire for reform in the Australian community – will enable us to deliver high quality, good value, innovative services to people with a disability, their families and carers, through the introduction of the NDIS and beyond.

Thank you most sincerely for your support.
