Aruma is excited to have jumped on board as one of the first sponsors of an event in Queensland that celebrates people with a disability across Australia.

The inaugural Festival of Fun will be held on Sunday, 9 October at the Cbus Super Stadium in Robina.

The family-friendly festival aims to bring people of all abilities together for an inclusive, accessible, social, and welcoming experience. The day is open to all, however, is specifically designed and considered for people with a disability, their families, friends, carers, and guardians.

Aruma’s National Business Development Manager Shared Living Amber Hoy spoke about our involvement on Nine News recently. Watch Amber and Aruma customers grooving to some tunes in preparation for the festival, by clicking the image below:

We’re so excited to be supporting such a game changer of an event, Amber said.

Festival of Fun is all about raising awareness and driving change in the way people with a disability are seen in our community.

It’s about recognising and celebrating the values, talents and future capabilities of people with a disability.

She said being a major sponsor gives Aruma customers and staff some great perks!

The event Director has kindly blocked a whole section near the stage for Aruma, so that whoever wants to purchase a ticket can purchase in the same section, and we can have an Aruma crowd seated together, Amber said.

This includes customers, staff, family members and friends. All welcome.

To book your ticket, head to the Festival of Fun website.

The ticket purchaser just needs to enter “ARUMA” in the password box and click “Unlock tickets” to purchase into Section CC.

The festival will be a day that encourages people with disabilities, their families, friends, carers, and guardians to explore, try new things, interact with service providers, socialise, have FUN, and enjoy entertainment from some of Queensland and Australia’s most well-known artists and performers.

Some activities will include:

Try Me Sports Arena: presentations and meet & greets with leading sportspeople and sports providers.
All About You Expo: will create connections for Service Providers and people with a disability.
FUN Fair: a space for family and friends to share experiences, enjoy FUN activities and check out local market stalls
Field of FUN: Australia’s favourite artists and entertainers will rock the main stage with ample singalong opportunities. There will also be a Talent Quest, giving people with a disability a well-deserved spotlight on the main stage
Art Hub: a place for people with a disability to exhibit and sell their art
Fireworks: As the day concludes, fireworks will set the sky alight for a breath-taking finish to the festivities
