Three cheers for Summerland Farm

We’re a finalist in the 2023 North Coast Tourism Awards.

July 14, 2023

We’re proud to share that Summerland Farm has been announced as a finalist in the 2023 North Coast Tourism Awards.

From the delicious food and drinks, sustainable farm services, fluffy farm animals, and picturesque weddings, we know Summerland Farm has a lot to offer, and it’s great that others are recognising its beauty too.

The Awards are an opportunity to acknowledge “growth, entrepreneurship, and tourism success” across the North Coast region.

“Aruma’s Summerland Farm team is very excited to be nominated as Tourist Attraction of the Year! We work so hard to get the word out there about our beloved Farm,” said Executive General Manager Community and Employment, Brett Lacey.

Being nominated for Tourist Attraction of the Year – that’s impressive.

“The more tourist dollars we can generate, the more we can support our 110 Supported Employees who work with us to build their skills, confidence, and friendships working in a range of roles on the Farm,” continued Brett.

To be nominated for this award, we had to demonstrate the site’s uniqueness and how we support the community. Our commitment to creating opportunities for people with a disability and how we care for our land are just two great examples.

Our success wouldn’t be possible without the hard work of the Summerland Farm and Aruma teams. Your dedication, passion, and commitment to your work have enabled the Farm to thrive since 1972.

With over 80,000 visitors annually, we can’t wait to see the Farm serve the community for many more decades to come.

The next step is announcing the winners at The North Coast Tourism Awards Gala Dinner, which will be held at Plantation House in The Tweed.

Congrats to everyone involved!
