The Taree Club Aruma Open Day was a success!

Check out all the fun at our latest Open Day, where we had almost 100 locals from the community visit us.

June 26, 2025

It’s been a busy month for our Club Aruma Taree team. Earlier this month, they hosted a sausage sizzle for the flood-affected community, and now they’ve opened the doors to their newly renovated community hub space.

“It’s been 18 months of renovations to get the Hub to what it is today. We’ve got everything from a gym room, onsite café, gaming and music room. There is space for people with disability to explore their interests and hobbies, and there is something for everyone,” said Daniel Romer, Club Aruma Community Manager.

The open day was a great success with around 90 people showing up throughout the day to see the new premises, including the Deputy Mayor Jeremy Miller from the Mid North Coast Council

Even NBN News popped down to see all the fun. You can check out the coverage here – our segment is at 1:58.

Club Aruma allows our teams to do disability support differently.

Participants are encouraged to follow their passions in the Hub or use it as a meeting place to then venture out into the community. Whether they want to kick their gaming goals, travel somewhere different, or make new friends, we’re here to help make it happen.

“The bottom level of our new site is the community hub, which is just fantastic. We also offer our Work Ready program on the top level. It’s great for anyone who wants to build their skills and become confident to enter the workforce,” said Asta Beavis, Regional Manager.

Aruma provides disability support to more than 120 NDIS participants from Taree and Port Macquarie and has approximately 65 staff in the region.

We hope this new Hub will encourage even more faces around town to join the fun.
