House with No Steps (now Aruma) was named as one of the successful service providers for the transfer of existing New South Wales Government disability services.
Today we were named as the successful service provider for the transfer of existing NSW Government disability services in the areas of Sydney, Northern NSW, Illawarra/Shoalhaven, New England and Southern NSW.
We have a strong history of providing quality disability services in these local regions, extensive experience operating under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and well-established community connections.
House with No Steps (now Aruma) supports over 3000 people with a disability. The organisation is looking forward to welcoming and working with 600 new clients and 1,000 new employees as part of this landmark result.
“We are a single-purpose organisation, passionate about upholding the human rights, dignity and wellbeing of all people with a disability”, said Andrew Richardson, CEO. “We are truly excited and honoured by this outcome.”
The immediate priority for us is to ensure that the next stages of the transfer are as smooth as possible for new customers, family members and staff. They will establish an exclusive hotline manned by a dedicated team and a website portal featuring regular updates and information about the transfer.
“We look forward to getting to know our new employees, clients and families and welcoming them to our organisation. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to have greater impact in the lives of more people with a disability,” continued Mr Richardson.
