All aboard, destination: Bubble Planet

A big day out is never a small feat, but our Central Coast team knows how to make it happen! From an unforgettable Sydney Zoo trip to their latest adventure at Bubble Planet in Sydney Olympic Park, every outing is a perfect blend of fun and flawless planning. 

The adventurers were four housemates from Aruma’s Umina Beach Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). Three of the men are wheelchair users and require 1:1 support, so from the get-go, their incredible support team had every detail sorted. 

Tickets were booked early, bags packed the night before, and staff perfectly coordinated. The overnight team prepared lunches and two of the men were organised and ready to go before the morning crew even arrived. 

The morning team supported the other two men with their routines. Then, with bags double-checked and spirits high, the group set off, excited for the day ahead. 

By late morning, they had settled in a peaceful spot near Paddington Pavilion to enjoy an early lunch and soak up the sunshine. Next, they made their way to Bubble Planet, an immersive experience designed to engage all five senses through a series of bubble-themed activity rooms. 

Joel was completely immersed in the VR experience while Jarrad loved the giant bubble. From the glowing LED underwater world to the bubble ocean, Stephen loved every single moment. James enjoyed the experience so much that he wanted to revisit before the day had ended! 

Even in such a busy and sensory-rich space, they were able to explore at their own pace, have fun and enjoy everything the experience had to offer. Before heading home, the group got some souvenir photos and a few keepsakes from the gift shop to remember the day. 

Spirits high and memories made, the group headed home for a well-deserved afternoon tea and rest.
