Summerland Farm’s exciting new features

We’re excited to announce that Summerland Farm has finished its Stage 1 expansion!

Family walking through a farm holding hands

For those who don’t live in Northern NSW, Summerland Farm, a business of Aruma, is a working macadamia and avocado farm set high on the hills of the Alstonville plateau. Think restaurant, functions and wedding venue, children’s playground and nursery all rolled into one picturesque, working farm.

And, drum roll please – we’re excited to announce that Summerland Farm has finished its Stage 1 expansion! The new renovations, thanks to a government grant and generous support from local donors, include a new adventure playground and a refreshed retail hub: The Grocer, The Gift Shop and The Potting Shed.

The new developments have seen lots of smiling faces and a great turnout of visitors (all social distancing, of course) in the past few weeks. And offering delicious local produce, the restaurant and rejuvenated Farm Café have been a big hit.

A farm with a heart

At Summerland Farm, we employ over 100 people with a disability, who help us run the show. And thanks to the Farm’s new facilities, a further 45+ new jobs have been created for Supported Employees!

The hardworking team are very proud of the new facilities and when you visit to taste the region’s delicious produce, and soak up the country vibes, make sure you stop for a chat with them.

In the coming months we’ll be announcing more exciting developments (did someone say mini cows?), so keep an eye on the Summerland Farm Facebook page.
