You will uphold people’s Human Rights to live the life they want, the life they choose. Your days will be rich in variety, connection and learning.
You might start your day by reviewing your schedule, respond to a few emails and check in with your teammates. You can read about what’s going on at Aruma on our intranet. Some days you may be out and about delivering therapy in the community. We believe that delivering therapy in the most natural location for each person is important. This can be at someone’s home, childcare, school, work, a cafe or a park, the creative options are endless! You might pick up a cuppa along the way or have your lunch sitting in a park or local cafe.
Depending on your location, you may also see people in an Aruma therapy space or via telehealth and lunch with your team members and colleagues across other Aruma service areas. It is likely your day will include connection with your team members and manager via phone, Skype or Teams. We love to share wins, favourite resources and encourage each other.
Aruma has a range of regular ways that you will link in with support and supervision with so you may have a meet up with your discipline specific supervisor, practice excellence coach or join in our nation-wide communities of practice. You will have some time scheduled to complete your notes after your sessions, and some days you may have reports to write and may work from home or find a quiet space.
You may also spend some of your day researching a topic of interest or reading research relating to your service provision. Aruma have excellent access to training on our learning platform, so you could also do a course on something interesting like Cultural Awareness for Australia First Nations People.
