Help keep our customers and staff safe

The COVID-19 pandemic has turned the lives of many people with a disability upside down.

People with a disability are amongst the most vulnerable, and are at a higher risk of developing serious and life-threatening COVID-19 symptoms.

Many of our customers are feeling stressed, and routines have been completely disrupted which can be very isolating.

Even as lockdown rules start to ease, we don’t know when things for our customers will return to normal – you see, because people with a disability are at high risk, they will need to be extra careful for a lot longer.

With the nature of the essential work our staff do – supporting vulnerable people – they don’t have the luxury of working from home. They too are at a higher risk.

To keep our customers and staff safe, it is so important that we have a steady supply of critical safety equipment like masks, thermometers, gloves, and hand sanitiser.

It’s also critical that people with a disability, who are at risk of feeling isolated, are able to see their family and friend’s faces and receive supports through video calls. But sadly many don’t have a way to do this.
