About the TSA transfer

What you need to know about the transfer including information for the people we support and staff.

An overview of the  TSA transfer

Aruma (formerly House with No Steps and The Tipping Foundation) is thrilled to have been chosen by The Salvation Army (TSA) to take on their Queensland disability services.

We were chosen by The Salvation Army because our Values aligned with theirs.

We were also chosen because we are one of Australia’s leading disability service providers. We exist solely for one reason, and that is to support people with a disability live a great life. The life they want and choose.

On Monday 14 October, we welcomed staff, customers and families from Supported Independent Living, Short Term Accommodation (respite) and Social and Community Participation services in Brisbane and Toowoomba, in Queensland.

Aruma’s approach to this transfer

Continuity of service is our top priority. Our aim is to make the transfer process as smooth as possible for everyone – staff, customers, their families and carers.

For customers and families, we want ‘day one’ of the transfer to look and feel like the day before. Any improvements we make in the future will be done hand-in-hand with you.

For staff, we understand you have strong relationships with the people and families you support. We want to maintain and nurture those relationships, while we support you with your employment transition.

We are committed to keeping all those affected up-to-date throughout the transition period, and beyond.

Aruma’s transfer experience

In recent years, we have successfully transferred over 1600 staff and 1100 customers from the New South Wales and Victorian Governments, as well as other providers.

Our team at Aruma has the skill, experience and empathy to help make this transition for you as smooth and positive as possible.
