Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can help if your child has trouble with strength, balance or mobility.

Physiotherapy services at Aruma

At Aruma (formerly House with No Steps and The Tipping Foundation), our physiotherapist will work hand in hand with you and your family to really get to know what you need.

With tailored exercises and programs, we will help to track and improve your child’s movement and development and help them achieve their goals.

How can Physiotherapy help my child?

Every child is unique, and their disabilities vary. Some kids may have a physical disability or limited mobility whilst others may have sensory challenges.

These could include:

  • Gross motor development delays
  • Fine motor difficulties
  • Muscular conditions
  • Other neurological conditions.

Either way, physiotherapy can help!

Our therapists will do a physical assessment of your child and provide a program of therapy or exercise rehabilitation personalised for them. Which could also cover mobility aids and equipment recommendations.

Benefits include:

  • Better mobility and control
  • Increased hand-eye coordination
  • Relaxation and stress release
  • Improved balance and coordination
  • More physical activity, movement and endurance
  • Self-confidence and connection
  • Greater independence.

Where does Aruma provide Occupational Therapy services?

Right now, we offer physiotherapy as part of our Transdisciplinary and Key Worker Model at our Forbes Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Centre. More locations are coming soon, which will include services for children 7+ years and adults too!

Contact our team today on 1300 538 746 or emailing us to see how we can help!

We also offer other disability services across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, and the ACT.

The NDIS provides funding for Therapy and Clinical Supports.

For children 0-7 they can access the NDIS specialist childhood intervention support, called Early Childhood, Early Intervention (ECEI). Aruma, as an NDIS Early Childhood Partner, are experienced in providing early childhood intervention and can deliver the ECEI approach.

After age 7, your child may qualify for an NDIS package. Find out more about NDIS funding for your child.
