Welcome to our new COO

We’re very happy to welcome to our Executive Leadership Team.

Laz has stepped into the newly-created role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), and will be based in Melbourne.

“Our 2019-2022 Strategic Plan is all about excellence in every aspect of our operations. Our promise to our customers is that they will always come first. And we will absolutely honour this promise,” said Andrew Richardson, our CEO.

We’ve grown and experienced many changes over the past decade. Our organisation is now a large and diverse disability service provider operating across multiple states and territories. We support over 5,300 customers in hundreds of locations throughout eastern Australia and we employ over 5,500 staff.

“We’re very aware that the pace of change in our sector will continue. So, with all this in mind, and after consultation with our Board and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), I created the COO role. I’m delighted to welcome such a values-based, capable executive to Aruma. Laz’s appointment is an important step in Aruma’s excellence journey.”

Laz brings solid operational and transformational leadership experience tour organisation, honed in executive leadership roles in major Australian organisations including Origin Energy, Westpac, Medibank and Australia Post.
