In February 2014, our Belrose Disability Services were given a much needed makeover by 115 wonderful volunteers and the Optus RockCorps team.
From drab to fab in just four hours!
On Sunday 23 February our Belrose Disability Service was given a much needed makeover by the wonderful volunteers from Optus RockCorps.
With the sun shining and music pumping a team of 115 friendly young people generously donated their time to clean, paint and revamp our tired old building.
The outside of the building had been transformed from an old brown to a cheerful blue with green and yellow stripes. Inside we now have some fabulous feature walls with clouds, multi-coloured stripes, squares and more.
The building has gone from drab to fab and our service users love the fresh new look. Thank you to all the volunteers for helping make a real difference!
Optus RockCorps is a program based on the idea of ‘give, get given’. Young people are encouraged to donate 4 hours of their time to a community volunteer project and in return will receive a ticket to a special concert hosted by Optus RockCorps.
