Frank Monte, a House with No Steps (now Aruma) Support Coordinator, is bringing music and entertainment to folks in Nowra, New South Wales.

He started hosting regular karaoke sessions, inspired by one of our customers by the name of Scott.

“Scott is one of our customers in Nowra and he loves music, karaoke is one of his favourite things to do,” Frank said.

“Music is his connection to the community and he wanted to experience more of it.”

What started as small group singalongs with friends two years ago has turned into something much more popular.

Frank now hosts karaoke sessions on the second Saturday of every month.

“We get a mix of customers, families and some of our staff – it’s usually around 30-40 people,” Frank said.

“Scott loves it too – he’s become very social.”

If you’re near Nowra on Saturday 13 October, pop by the Nowra office at 64 Bridge Street from 2.30pm for some karaoke.

Frank promises there’ll be plenty of hits to get the crowd dancing.

“There are a few songs that are definitely Scott and crowd favourites. Footloose, I’m a Believer and the Nutbush always get the crowd going,” he said.
