An important update about confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Victoria as at 3:30pm on Thursday 6 August 2020.
As at 3:30pm on Thursday 6 August 2020, Aruma has 16 confirmed cases of COVID-19 at properties in Victoria. This is made up of 11 staff and five customers.
The current cases are linked to 4 properties.
We have implemented strict protocols including isolation, testing and re-testing on day 11, look back (tracing) processes and deep cleaning. We are providing full PPE, arranging clinical and therapeutic supports as required, as well as mobile nursing services for the properties to monitor general health and wellbeing.
We are receiving negative test results each day and can advise that two of the services are very close to being determined COVID-19 free. Most people’s COVID-19 symptoms have been relatively minor, however regrettably, one person is in hospital.
Andrew Richardson, CEO said, “Every positive case of COVID-19 is of great concern to us. The wellbeing of our customers and staff is paramount. We remain in regular contact with those affected and we are doing everything we can to support them. We wish them all a full and speedy recovery.”
“We are ever-vigilant in our fight against COVID-19 in all of our services. We have implemented a range of steps to stop the spread of COVID-19 at each impacted property. The risks are very real. We are doing everything possible to minimise our exposure and keep our customers and staff safe and well.”
