OVERNIGHT HORSE CAMPS Camps Start at 2.30 pm and after a quick orientation the afternoon is spent meeting the horses, grooming, saddling and having a riding lesson to make sure that the horse and rider are compatible. Campers assist in the day to day running of the horses. Games, fun activities and theory lessons fill in the remainder of the day. In winter we toast marshmallows by the campfire and in summer we take a dip in the lake. After breakfast we round up the horses for our trail ride. We are often lucky and see some of the "locals" enjoying their breakfast. Time flies and upon returning to the yards we give our horses a big thank-you and head up for lunch. Departure time is at 2.00pm. The schedule may vary for camps that extend over more than one night. In Summer we may take a trail ride in the cool of the orming and spend the afternoon swimming.
